Apply through the official careers site — you apply to a specific stand, not to the company as a whole. Pick your state, pick your stand, fill in the form. The entry-level role is Brewista (7 Brew's word for barista), most stands hire with no previous coffee experience, and training happens on the job.
What a Brewista actually does
The official description is refreshingly blunt: crew members are "drink-makers, shelf-stockers, store-cleaners, order-takers, and smile-givers." That is accurate. This is a drive-thru with no seating, so there is no front-of-house — practically the whole job happens in a small stand with a window on each side.
- Taking orders through the window headset, often on a two-lane line
- Building drinks to order — 7 Brew's menu runs to tens of thousands of combinations
- Restocking syrups, cups, ice and milk mid-shift
- Keeping the stand clean, which in a drive-thru means constantly
- Handling payment and, at many stands, handing out pup cups
The pace is the thing people either love or bounce off. There is no food menu, so orders are short and the line moves fast. Peak is the morning commute and the after-school rush.
How to apply
- Go to 7brew.com/careers and choose your state. Some regions also run their own portal.
- Pick the stand you want. Apply to one you can reliably get to — proximity matters more here than it does at most chains, because opening shifts start early.
- Fill in the application for that location. Have your availability ready; it is usually the first thing they look at.
- Expect a short phone or in-person interview, often with the stand manager directly rather than a recruiter.
- If you get an offer, training is on-site and paid. You learn the build system on the stand, not in a classroom.
Because most stands are run by franchisees, hiring is genuinely local. Two stands ten miles apart can have different pay, different availability expectations and different benefits.
What 7 Brew pays
7 Brew does not publish a pay scale, and the honest answer is that it varies — by state, by metro, and by whether the stand is corporate-run or franchised. A US drive-thru barista role in 2026 realistically lands somewhere in the range below.

Those postings are far fewer and tend to sit on the corporate site rather than the stand portals.

Before your first shift
- Availability is the lever. Openers start early — many stands open around 5:30 AM. Being available for the morning commute makes you an easy yes.
- Learn the build language. Base, size, flavour, sweetness. Knowing that four-part order before day one puts you ahead.
- It is a standing job. No seating, constant movement, and a lot of it.
- Tips are real. At most drive-thru coffee stands they meaningfully supplement the hourly rate.
- Ask about benefits directly. They differ between corporate and franchisee stands, and between part-time and full-time.
